About the Artist

I started painting about 15 years ago answering an ad from our local university offering beginning oil painting classes.  Having not drawn for years or painted ever my first weeks were challenging to say the least.  My first painting, Pebbles, was done from downloading a photo of a chickadee.  It was painting from a photograph rather than live in the studio that made sense to my brain and from there my painting ventures progressed.  Painting birds have been my love but I've branched out to other subjects and landscapes over the years.

I look forward to producing a DACohen painting to add to your collection.

Thanks for visiting.
